Tech Lead Java

Tasks/Responsibilities

The Tech Lead Java will be responsible for guiding a team of developers and ensuring the technical excellence of web platforms used daily by millions of users, within a human-sized IT company.

MORE PRECISELY

• Assess the technical feasibility of new initiatives from the outset
• Design solution architecture hand in hand with project management
• Lead code reviews and drive the automated testing strategy
• Support back-end and front-end developers on complex challenges
• Maintain and enhance custom web applications (ERP)
• Streamline production releases with DevOps teams
• Mentor a team of approximately 5 developers (rituals, skills growth)
• Work in an environment based on Java, Spring, Node.js, Docker and Kubernetes

PROFILE

• 7+ years of professional experience in Java fullstack development
• First experience as a Technical Lead (strong asset)
• Advanced mastery of Java 11+ and Spring (IoC, Batch, Integration)
• Expertise in JavaScript, Node.js, Webpack and JavaServer Pages (JSP)
• Comfortable with SQL (MySQL/MariaDB), Linux, Docker and Jenkins
• Good knowledge of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Kanban
• Hands-on testing experience with JUnit, Cucumber and Cypress
• Daily use of artificial intelligence (AI) agents in development
• Strong analytical mindset and passion for solving complex problems
• Experience with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch and asynchronous messaging (asset)
• Master’s degree in computer science (Bac+5) or equivalent
• Bilingualism (French required, English functional)
