Mainframe Lead Developer (12+ month contract)

Tasks/Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a Mainframe Lead Developer for a 12-month contract with the possibility of being renewed.

MANDATE

• Guide the development team technically and coordinate its activities
• Plan the work, estimate workloads and track deliverables
• Define development standards and lead code reviews
• Design complex solutions to maintain and migrate applications
• Join a team of about 30 mainframe IT specialists
• Work in an environment based on IBM z/OS, COBOL, CICS, JCL and SAS

PROFILE

• 7+ years of professional experience as a Mainframe Lead Developer
• Experience in technical leadership of a development team
• Mastery of Common Business-Oriented Language (COBOL) and SAS
• Expertise in Customer Information Control System (CICS)
• Good knowledge of Job Control Language (JCL)
• Autonomy and strong ability to solve large-scale problems
• Knowledge of MANTIS and the SUPRA database (asset)
• Interest in migrating applications to new platforms
• DEC or Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
• French required
