Tasks/Responsibilities
The BI Specialist will be responsible for providing internal expertise regarding the business intelligence of the fast-growing company.
MORE PRECISELY
- Maximize the potential of data in the company which recently made 2 acquisitions
- Evaluate the tools currently in place (IBM Cognos TM1, Power Query ETL, JD Edwards from Oracle, etc.)
- Analyze the possibility of having other new relevant BI tools (Microsoft Power BI or others)
- Understand the needs of different business lines and optimize the use of data
- Develop dashboards, generate user friendly reports, and participate in user training
- Report to the CFO, and work with the IT Manager and an ERP Developer, then if necessary with consultants
PROFILE
- 5+ years of experience in BI (Business Intelligence)
- Professional experience with IBM Cognos
- Skills in data modeling and BI development (cubes, ETL, reports)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and other relevant BI tools
- Experience in data warehouse and reporting
- Mastery of databases and SQL language
- Knowledge of the ERP JDE solution (JD Edwards from Oracle) asset
- Good communication and popularization skills of analytical data
- Ability to anticipate and resolve problems
- BAC or Master’s degree in computer science, or equivalent
- Bilingualism required (French and English)
